Faetta Schreinert, age 97, of Bridgeport and formerly of Dalton NE, passed away at Skyview Care and Rehab in Bridgeport on Saturday, November 15, 2025. No services have been planned.

Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel to leave condolences for the family.

Faetta was born the second child to Frank H. and Anna (Florke) Flessner on December 4, 1927. She attended grade school in the Weyerts Community and the Weyerts Lutheran Church. She graduated from high school in Sunol in 1945 after which attending the Denver School of Business in Denver. Her father became ill in 1947; she returned home to be closer to family. She worked in the courthouse in Bridgeport.
She was united in marriage to Herbert J. Schreinert on June 4, 1950. They were married in the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her son Dwight and life partner Connie Hoffman of Dalton. Four grandchildren; Erin (Jerel) Bowen of Sheridan WY, Kristin (Bob) Backscheider of Aurora IN, Ashley (Ryan) Koltiska of Sheridan WY, Derek (Ashley) Schreinert of Sheridan WY; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Wellnitz of Rushville, NE and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Schreinert; her parents Frank and Anna Flessner; father and mother-in-law John and Anna Schreinert; brother Lavern (Evelyn) Flessner; brother-in-law Jim Wellnitz, and one great-granddaughter Jane Backscheider.
