Elaine M. Weisbrook, 86, of Kimball, died peacefully at the Kimball County Manor on Friday, February 6, 2026. 

Elaine Mae Weisbrook was born on May 12, 1939, in Lexington, Nebraska, the daughter of Merle and Edna (Shuster) Schrack. In August of that same year, her family moved to Kimball County, Nebraska, where they dedicated themselves to farming and ranching. Elaine graduated from Kimball County High School in 1957.

On June 16, 1957, Elaine married Harold Weisbrook, and together they farmed and ranched in northeast Colorado and the Kimball area, moving to Kimball in 2021. Elaine was a devoted farm wife, raising her family and working alongside Harold on the farm.

In addition to her farm duties, Elaine was a school cook and bus driver, and she was deeply involved in 4-H, serving as both a leader and a fair judge. She was also recognized as Farmer’s Day Homemaker of the Year in 2005 and honored as the Grand Marshal of the Bushnell Days in 2024.  Elaine had a passion for gardening and loved working with flowers. She was a member of the Midway Club, loved playing cards, sewing, quilting, embroidering, and square dancing, and had a collection of tea cups. Her baking, especially her cinnamon rolls and bread, was loved by all, and she lovingly decorated cakes for many weddings and special occasions. Elaine found solace in the great outdoors, she enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends.  Harold and Elaine enjoyed many memorable trips including Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean.  These trips enriched their lives and made many lasting memories.  Elaine’s faith, kindness, caring, love and dedication left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community.

Survivors include her children Cinthia White of Gothenburg, NE., Duane (Carma) Weisbrook and Mark (Sarah) Weisbrook both of Bushnell, NE;  grandchildren Jake (Jakeh) White, Matthew Weisbrook (Andrea Turner), Jessie (Matt) McNally, Timothy (Lindsey) Weisbrook, Jaclyn (Daniel) Klinginsmith, Chase White (Shalene Winters), Brad Weisbrook (Sadie Beach), Tyler (Katherine) Weisbrook; 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren with 2 more blessing to come this year; sister-in-law Leora Roberts of Pine Bluffs, WY: numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harold Weisbrook, parents Merle and Edna (Shuster) Schrack, infant brother Lee Roy, infant sister Laraine Kay, mother and father-in-law Bernard and Hilda Weisbrook, son-in-law Monty White, sister-in-law Esther Wright, nephew Ray Wright.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Ellery Stephensen officiating.  Burial will be held in the Kimball Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m., the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00.  Friends may also visit www.cantrellfh.com to share condolences and stories with the family.  Memorials may be given in her memory to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Zion Lutheran Church or Kimball County Manor.  The services for Elaine have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home.
